SUGGESTED USAGE:

1. After cleansing the skin, apply a light amount of your favorite copper peptide product (such as CP Serum, GHK-Cu Crepey Skin Escape, or Super Cop Cream).

2. After the copper peptides have penetrated, a light amount of Retinol in Squalane can be used on top as an effective moisturizer to seal in increase peptide efficacy.

HOW IT'S DIFFERENT:

Squalane and squalene are two very similar lipids that compose 15% of skin fats during our younger years but decline to about 5% after age 50. This is a major factor in the skin becoming rough, dry, and vulnerable to damage.

How to combat this natural process of drier skin as we age? Replenish the lipids your skin requires with biochemist Dr. Loren Pickart's proven Retinol in Squlane pure oil treatment.

Of the two compounds, Squalane from olive oil is more stable and preferable for skin use. When applied on skin, squalane acts to improve skin protection and moisturization. For thousands of years, fishermen from Scandinavia, Japan, and the South Pacific have used shark fat for the skin of their faces and hands after irritation by salt water. Now we know that the substance responsible for beneficial qualities of shark fat is squalane.

Since most people today are very concerned about overfishing, we are happy to set your mind at ease: Skin Biology's pure, natural squalane is derived from olive oil, and is cruelty-free, ecologically friendly, and just as effective as animal-derived squalane!

Retinyl palmitate is further added to this formula to enhance the natural moisturizing action of squalane and help visibly restoring a supple and vibrant skin complexion.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

Retinol in Squalane Oil also works as a great penetrating agent to control or moderate the strength of strong products. See our page on Tips on How to Use Copper Peptides Properly (under Moderating Strength)

Apply a light amount of Retinol in Squlane after applying a copper peptide to increase efficacy. When applied on top, retinyl palmitate helps peptides absorb into the skin.

Apply a light amount of Retinol in Squlane before applying a copper peptide to make the cream/serum milder. Basing the skin first with a light amount of retinyl palmitate will serve to slow down the penetration rate of the copper-peptide cream, thus making it feel gentler.
