Emu Oil-S (for "supplemented") contains saw-palmetto oil, used by Florida's Native American Miccosukee and Seminole tribes. Plus a healthy blend of antioxidants (lutein, tocotrienols, and tocopherols).

Rejuvenate the look of youthfully thick hair!

Dr. Pickart's unique take on this ancient natural oil (biochemically comparable to human scalp oil) helps improve hair appearance* by adding scalp-nourishing lipids. Calms minor scalp damage* from harsh hair care products, hair transplant procedures, or Minoxidil / Rogaine use.

How to Use: Massage Emu Oll gently on the scalp for 5-10 seconds. Or apply directly after using your preferred Folligen product. Apply lightly to the ends of the hair to stave off and smooth split ends and fraying. For hair growth, use FDA-approved Minoxidil (2% or 5%) every other day.

Size: 2 oz

NOTE: Due to Federal Regulations, we cannot ship Emu Oil internationally. If you live outside the USA, please substitute with Squalane Oil, Retinol in Squalane, or CELES Beauty Oil.

SUGGESTED USAGE:

For best results, use as directed below.

1. Part the hair or separate into sections so that the product can be applied directly on the scalp.

2. Apply Folligen Therapy Spray, Folligen Nutrient Cream, Hair Signals Therapy Cream, or Hair Signals Therapy Solution directly on the scalp once a day (or once every other day).

3. Apply a light amount of Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher for Hair after applying Folligen. Use Emu Oil as a light scalp oil to improve penetration of Folligen product or to lightly condition split ends.

NOTE: FDA approved Minoxidil (to stimulate hair growth) can be ordered separately and used at the opposite end of day.

HOW IT'S DIFFERENT:

Skin Biology's Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher for Hair consists of 100% pure Emu Oil (AEA Certified, fully refined) that replenishes lipids in hair shafts, adds luster to dull and dry hair, and smooths split ends.* This biological oil is enriched with natural anti-oxidants normally found in skin such as Co-Q-10, tocotrienols, tocopherols, lutein, and lycopene. Emu Oil for Hair contains 1% saw palmetto to improve the appearance of thinning hair. When used with our hair nurturing products, Emu Oil-S helps improve the look of hair volume, luster, and vibrancy.*

The added antioxidants in Dr. Loren Pickart's version (Emu Oil-S) result in a golden/orange color. It is a semi-liquid (pourable) at room temperature, but solidifies when refrigerated.

Treat your scalp skin with an ancient Australian resource that is enhanced by modern science and Dr. Pickart's creative genius. Emu Oil comes from a small ostrich-like bird. The emu (Doromiceius novae-hollandiae) is the world's second largest bird, only second to the ostrich. Australian Aborigines discovered the benefits of Emu Oil many thousands of years ago and used its helpful properties on skin.

Skin Biology's peroxide-free emu oil is very stable. Stored at room temperature, it lasts about 3-6 months (depending on the room). If refrigerated, emu oil can last at least 1 year. Skin Biology refrigerates our Emu Oil-S before the bottle-filling process to further extend its life. However, those living in very hot weather should store their product in a refrigerator.

Today, scientific research has confirmed the beneficial effects of Emu Oil on skin. Emu Oil contains up to 70% of unsaturated fatty acids. Many oils that contain as much unsaturated fatty acids would be too easily oxidized. In fact, this is one reason why you should be very careful with oils that contain too much unsaturated fats - you do not want lipid peroxides on your skin.

However, in the case of Emu Oil, you never have need to worry. First of all, it has a high content of monounsaturated fatty acid-oleic acid. This fatty acid makes this oil very stable and resistant to oxidation. It also makes it an excellent penetration enhancer as it helps other active ingredients into the skin. It contains about 20% of linoleic acid, which is an omega 6 fatty acid required for skin integrity and 2% of omega 3 fatty acid, which naturally calms itchy skin.

Emu Oil is called nature's perfect moisturizer for a reason - it is easily absorbed, non-irritating and is perfectly compatible with your skin. In this formula, pure emu oil is further enhanced with natural antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10, mixed tocopherols and carotenoids.
