SUGGESTED USE: For best results, use as directed below.

1. After cleansing the skin, apply a light amount of your favorite copper peptide product (such as CP Serum, GHK-Cu Crepey Skin Escape, or Super Cop Cream).

2. After the copper peptides have penetrated, a light amount of Squalane Oil can be used on top as an effective moisturizer to seal in increase peptide efficacy.

HOW IT'S DIFFERENT:
Experience the benefits of nature's most potent moisturizer: Squalane.

For thousands of years, fishermen from Scandinavia, Japan, and the South Pacific have used shark fat for the skin of their faces and hands after irritation by salt water. Now we know that the substance responsible for beneficial qualities of shark fat is squalane.

This lipid is also present in human skin and is responsible for its fresh and well-moisturized appearance. In teenage years, squalane composes 15% of skin oil. After age 50, it declines to about 5%. This is a major factor in the skin becoming rough, dry, and vulnerable to damage.

Since most people today are very concerned about overfishing, we are happy to set your mind at ease: Skin Biology's pure, natural squalane is derived from olive oil, and is cruelty-free, ecologically friendly, and just as effective as animal-derived squalane!

Of the two compounds, Squalane from olive oil is more stable and preferable for skin use. When applied on skin, squalane acts to improve skin protection and moisturization.

Squalane is absorbed deeply and quickly into the skin and does not leave an oily film. It is especially useful on dry, scaly portions of the body as it helps to maintain your skin's natural moisture level and produces the appearance of softer, smoother skin.

Squalane is called nature's best moisturizer because it perfectly softens and moisturizes skin, without leaving an oily film. It absorbs in seconds and leaves a pleasant feeling of soft and well-moisturized skin. If you have dry skin, you will immediately experience wonderful relief as your skin will becomes smoother, softer, supple and younger-looking.*

IMPORTANT TIPS:
Squalane Oil also works as a great penetrating agent to control or moderate the strength of strong products. See our page on Tips on How to Use Copper Peptides Properly (under Moderating Strength)

Apply a light amount of Squalane Oil after applying a copper peptide to increase efficacy. When applied on top, Squalane helps peptides absorb into the skin.

Apply a light amount of Squalane Oil before applying a copper peptide to make the cream/serum milder. Basing the skin first with a light amount of Squalane will serve to slow down the penetration rate of the copper-peptide cream, thus making it feel gentler.

5 of 5 Simple and non-irritating moisturizer June 21, 2019

A little goes a long way with this, especially when you put it on top of a serum. I only use 2-3 drops for my face and neck. I find it to be soothing and it quickly penetrates the skin unlike other oils out there that just sit on top of it. It does not block pores or cause outbreaks, which is a major concern for me.

let me just say that I am a skin junkie. I love this stuff and I have tried many different products out there on the market. This makes my skin glow, it keeps it moisturized, and it's not full of junk. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great moisturizer.

5 of 5 Squalane is the best moisturizer out there. October 29, 2015
Reviewer: Jairo G. from New York, NY United States
I used to suffer from breakouts and was under the assumption that oils clogged pores, so I only used oil-free products and avoided anything with oils at all cost. I found out (and you can google this) that Squalane has a comedogenic rating of 1 out of 5, meaning there's a very low chance of Squalane clogging your pores. I then decided to give it a try. That's how I came across Skin Biology and I have been using Squalane for a year and my skin is always moisturized, glowing and the redness along my cheeks has disappeared. I use it every other day, in the evenings, and my skin has never been more flawless. I have been telling my friends all about Squalene and I highly recommend this product 100%, even if you suffer from breakouts.
